This gives you an idea. You stare at Murdock and the priest kid called Gandarlig, both standing next to Daitza. "You guys probably noticed our injuries, right? I've still got some mana left in me, but I'd prefer to keep it for an emergency. Would you please heal the two of us?"
"Injured?" The gray haired priest raises his eyebrows, looking kind of surprised. "Ahh... so the rumors of the bathhouse incident are true."
"Haha, yeah... kind of..." Daitza and you shrug and try to laugh it off. It's only been a few hours and the whole fortress is already aware of what happened! You're really going to miss the privacy and freedom of living on the surface...
Murdock sighs. "That was a dumb thing to do, tribals, but ye probably figured it out by now, so I ain't boring ye with any sermons. Now..." He closes his eyes and raises his hands. In a matter of seconds, his hands start glowing just like yours did. "You two stay put. I'm gonna heal you up."
You and your pal let Murdock do his work, all while Gandarlig and the rest of the church watch in silence. The priest touches Daitza's left arm and performs the healing process, then moves onto you next, laying his hands on your right arm and using his magical powers...
>Daitza's HP: 115 / 145 (79%, Bruised)
>Hyenus' HP: 157 / 194 (81%, Bruised)
"There ya go."
Datz and you open your eyes and smile at each other. You feel so, so much better now. There's still some mild pain here and there, but it's nothing that hampers your movements like it did before. Finally, you are ready for battle again!
"I wish I'd spend more mana on ye" Murdock explains, "but we priests gotta keep some for urgencies like, y'know... people getting possessed and having to exorcize 'em, or any sudden demon outbreaks. A shame that mana potions are so difficult to make."
You nod. "Thanks anyway. You've been of great help." You look at Gandarlig. "Hey, kid. Can you spare an use of Healing Palms for us?"
"M-me?" The dwarf teen stares at Murdock, then back at you, lowering his head. He looks embarrassed for some reason. "I'm... I'm sorry, but... the truth is, I'm still finishing my studies on that spell. I really wish to heal you, I really do, but... as much as I want to, I just can't. Forgive me, please... forgive me."
"That's fine!" says a smiling Daitza. "Really, it's no big deal. No need to apologize."
"Thank you..." Her words seem to lift the shy priest's mood a bit.
