“Gone?” you ask her, confused. “What do you mean?”
“I mean it doesn't exist anymore.” she answers, her own expression concerned. “Usually, whenever you make a choice, you create several branching timelines with each one. And when time travel happens, it creates even more branching paths. But your battle with Truth, as far as history is concerned, never even happened.”
“Never happened.” you say, more to yourself than to her as you think back. To the desperation, the hopelessness that Lyin Eyes Requiem imposed. But hearing her words, you do know at least one thing for sure: she confirmed for you that undoing the whole battle was the right choice. Lyin Eyes Requiem now never existed, except in your memories. And that's where it should stay, forever.
The rest of the meal is uneventful, then the kids all start heading to their own beds. Leaving just you, Towa, and Meloka in her bedroom.
“Now then, where were we earlier?” Towa asks, and with a gesture drops all three of your clothes off. You enjoy a rather pleasant evening with the two women, eventually falling asleep and sleeping the rest of the night in a deep, unbreakable slumber. Night then eventually turns today, your eyes slowly opening to find yourself on your back, Towa clinging to your left side while Meloka's back is pressed to your right, her arms wrapped around your arm while pressing herself to you. As you lay there, relaxing in the calm and quiet, you think over what to do next. You do only have a week here, after all, before you have to go back to your own timeline for another month. And while you will spend at least some time with each of your kids, you won't be able to split your time equally. Will you?
So how do you split your time?
