>>5753715Wanting to keep the pressure up on both Ezekiel and his knights, you continue your magical assault. A cold wind begins blowing through the tent as several icicles erupt from the ground, impaling the two foes in front of you. The Swordmaster is completely pulverized by your attack, exploding in a spray of blood. As for Ezekiel, he finds himself frozen solid in a block of ice. For a second, you think you’ve killed the captain, only to back up in shock as he erupts from his icy prison with a roar.
>Blair: 30 MAG + 12 DMG (Bolting) + 5 (B. Tomefaire) = 47 – 18 RES = 29x2 = 58 DMG>Crit: Miss>Stun: Hit>Ezekiel’s Great Shield: 57, 28 (Miss, Hit)>Ezekiel: 23/81 HP>15 XP Gained! (30/100)“The Goddess protects me!” Ezekiel roars, shaking the tent and rallying those knights and Orthodox soldiers that were still up and fighting.
You’re unsure of how Ezekiel has managed to shrug off what should have been a deathblow, but you aren’t given too much time to dwell on it as Fritz joins the battle. He launches a glob of dark magic towards you that explodes upon contact with your chest. The spell conjures several insects that buzz incessantly around you, biting and draining you of your blood. The Swarm spell also has the unfortunate addition of lowering your own speed. Though it’s only a fraction, the longer this battle plays out, the worse it may become.
>Fritz: 32 MAG + 4 = 36 – 23 RES = 13 DMG>Blair: 53/66 HP, -4 SPDThe Sreng side has finished off their opponents, with Cormac, Leif and Seamus emerging victorious over the Holy Knights. Meanwhile, on the Blackwing side, the final magic user has been brushed aside by Uriel. The enemy snipers, motivated by Ezekiel’s encouragement, each land strong shots against the Paladin as well as Ashe. However, it comes too late, as the battle has already started to turn in your favor. Kayla wastes no time in restoring Ashe to full health, and soon one of the Snipers finds his throat slashed by your lover.
“Could you hurry it up back there?!” Clay yells. Three more soldiers have entered the fray, and you can make out commotion from outside. More will be on their way.
What a maddening foe to be able to brush aside some of your strongest magic! If you didn’t know any better, you’d think there was some truth to his words. You had to finish him off now before things got worse.
