And so victory has been achieved, but at a heavy cost. Over a hundred warriors from the allied tribes were severely injured and over forty have been slain. Sixteen have gone missing, most of them women. As for the Bravigrovic, they fought fiercely and many of them battled until the bitter end. Over seventy of them lie dead, while over thirty of them are wounded. Almost two hundred of them have fled their territory, to live and fight another day.
The same can't be said for their women, children and elders. Over five hundred of them have been left behind – after generations of snatching the women of other tribes and assimilating the bulk of the Pragradravic, there can be no doubt that the Bravigrovic were the most populous tribe by far. The sealskins and the singers busy themselves dividing these captives between them, while the Protavic tribe admire the vast tracts of shoreline that shall soon be theirs.
As for the Vuvovic, they get to work slaying the wounded and drinking the blood of the dead. They slice narrow incisions in the carcasses, so that they may gather sticky brown vitae in cups hewn from bone and drink it in accordance with their dark rituals. The Toprocravic, Bruslavic and many of the Protavic are appalled by this practice – some of them even want to turn on the blood-drinkers and slay them for their profane acts.
The words of one of the tribe's finest warriors are the only reason why bloodshed doesn't immediately occur. The brawny elder calls for peace and cooperation and insists that the Vuvovic should be allowed to drink from the corpses of the enemy, as thanks for their contribution during the battle. However, the cunning woman who garnered their aid in the first place suggests the Protavic should join in – why shouldn't they drink the Drocrom of the foe straight from the source and bypass the cycle of consumption entirely?
Our tribe could embrace blood-drinking. While there are many who would be unhappy with this development, perhaps there is strength to be found in the Vuvovic way of life.
Our tribe could allow the Vuvovic to drink. This tolerance of the blood-drinkers may upset the Toprocravic and Bruslavic, but it is what the macabre tribe was promised.
Our tribe could deny the Vuvovic their prize. They were promised blood and they will definitely be angered by this decision, but the messenger had no right to make that promise.
Our tribe could attack the blood-drinkers. This dark tribe represents a potential threat in the future. You should dispose of them now, rather than wait for them to grow in strength.
>Embrace blood-drinking.
>Allow the Vuvovic to drink.
>Deny the Vuvovic their prize.
>Attack the blood-drinkers.
