>>5298752The two of you stick to the shadows, running back towards the direction of the Pegasus Stables. The streets which were packed full of panicked soldiers and students a few hours ago are now bereft of life. The occasional confused civilian, wandering around aimlessly, are the only people you come across. Eventually, you make it back to the stables, and sure enough, your idea proved to pay off. The place is essentially deserted, with the Knights needing all the manpower they can get to fend off the Imperials. It’s then a trivial task to sneak into the grounds, where Beathan is being held. As you peruse through the stables, there are very few pegasi left. It’s an easy matter to find Beathan, as he’s the only pegasus there with a black coat.
>“Hey boy. I hope you weren’t too worried with all this noise.” You whisper into his ear, brushing your hand across your companion’s mane and comforting him. As you untie him from his post, you look around the stables and notice a familiar pegasus nearby. Franz, Kate’s Pegasus, remains tied up to his section of the stable. The pegasus is at ease, reminiscent of the cool personality his rider gives off. His presence here can only mean one thing. Kate must have decided to hole up in the dorms with the rest of the Black Eagles who have chosen not to take up arms against the Imperial Army. Before departing the stables with Beathan, you make sure to refill Franz’s food and water. The sounds of fighting have erupted all around you now. It’s plain as day to tell that the monastery is surrounded and will not stay standing for much longer. You hear the same collapsing stone sound that you had heard previously.
“Well, have you decided on our destination?” Corrine asks you.
