“That dwarf..." Daitza murmurs with sadness as she watches Ruby's beatdown, "He's releasing all his anger and frustration on a creature unable to defend itself. It reminds me so much of my... my father.” Her sad look turns into a hate-filled glare. “… I can’t stand it. I CANNOT.”
It’s strange to feel bad for living beings that were nothing but mindless snacks before your eyes, until your recent interactions with servants proved your belief wrong. How did you not notice before that these creatures are as conscious and intelligent as gnolls are? How...? You were wrong to hunt them for all these years, and you hope Daitza is experiencing the same realization.
Now that you are free from the ties binding you to your tribe’s customs, neither of you have to tolerate injustice anymore. It’s not in your nature… it never was. The bunnywoman is in need of aid, and you can’t stand idle at this cruel sight.
“Let’s stop him, Datz” you say, clenching your fists with anger…
“Yeah.” She nods. “This shorty can’t get away with such a pathetic act.”
You take off your shirt and drop it on the ground, then sprout your wings and approach the furious Kholgarsh, who keeps raining down a flurry of jabs at the weak rabbette – an unjust retribution for such a petty accident. Right when he’s about to land another punch, you manage to grab his right fist midair and hold it down!
“DON’T TOUCH ME, MURDERDOG!!!” the enraged dwarf shouts as he tries desperately to break free of your grip and kick you on the nads. It’s not easy to wrestle a stout humielet like him! “Ye think your wings impress me?! Huh?! You’re a false angel! A FALSE SAVIOUR!!!”
>Kholgarsh’s STR: 17
The other worker, who was taking pleasure in watching the abuse, is stunned by the sight of your wings. “So the rumors were true… this gnoll can sprout wings at will. Bah! As if it proved anything!” He frowns and walks up to you menacingly, but Daitza is quick to stand between you and him.
“GRRRRRR!!!” she growls, opening her mouth and revealing her sharp rows of teeth to the stirrer. It's more than enough to make the coward back away in fear.
“Youw a shame to yew fewow dorfs and Anu’s bewievers!” you yell at the ugly humielet as he flaps his arms and legs like crazy in an attempt to release himself.
“Let me go or I’ll wipe the floor with you, savage! LET ME GO IN THIS INSTANT!!!”
“Enough! I’ll make suw Elizabeth knows how you tweat hew maids!”
As soon as you mention the mistress’ name, the dwarf’s fierce struggle ceases all of a sudden. It seems your words reached him, so you take the chance to lay one of your hands off him to put it on Ruby’s face, intending to heal her wounds with your new spell…
