But she doesn't attack there either, getting a little closer before leaving another Afterimage behind there as well. Teleporting around Hit and leaving images of herself behind, approaching the assassin from different angles but each one stops just outside his range. He clearly says something, perhaps mocking the technique, but you're honestly marveled at young you's ability. It took you YEARS to master Afterimage/Instant Transmission, and here she is doing it even without having her hand to her forehead. Something you still can't do, not that and dropping Afterimages at the same time.
“She's gotten better.” Ace says, an approving note in his tone that slightly irritates you. It would be more annoying if he wasn't completely right, you can't deny she's gotten very powerful. But why isn't she getting closer? Each time she drops an Afterimage, it is literally jsut outside Hit's strike range. But then you get it, she's not attacking on purpose.
“Wow. Chaya already found his range.” Towa says, having come to the same realization. “Seems she's taunting him to try and make a move.”
“He won't fall for this, he's more patient than you are.” Ace replies, giving you a knowing wink. You grumble something under your breath but know he's right, were that you, you'd be getting frustrated he hasn't gone in yet. But unlike you, Blue Chaya then suddenly backs off, leaping back a couple dozen yards, the images fading.
“Astounding! It would seem that the Sixth Universe's deadliest killer has been completely stunned into inaction by our Champion's moves!” Dallas shouts, the crowd eating it up. But from the expression you see on Blue Chaya's face, she clearly recognizes the truth as well. Something she makes clear, standing back up to her full height and talking to the assassin. You can't hear them, but whatever she says doesn't rattle him. However, whatever answer he gives annoys Blue Chaya, her divine aura blazing in response as she retakes her fighting stance.
“Looks like she's got his range down, let's see what she does with this information.” Ace says, then turns to you. “What do you think, do you think she can win this?”
Well? What do you think of your other self's chances, Future Chaya?
>From the improvement you've seen in her fighting, if she loses it would have to be entirely her own fault at this point>You'd say it is a toss up, you've seen some Hit out there with shockingly dangerous abilities and don't doubt he's improved since the last tournament >She's gotten better, but Hit's still going to prove to be too much for her. She's using up too much power and energy without making progress, he'll win the war of attrition at this rate>You have no idea, but this is a lot more entertaining than you had thought it would be>Other(write in)
