You cannot stress enough how your heart longs to open the cage that suffocates the armaments. To impart the knowledge of how delectable the fruits of a blacksmith's labor are to an ignorant woman. To lose yourself in the history that the room will no doubt contain, what insights could you gain about the Bloodgraves by looking at their heirlooms? More than the uniformed would ever think, that you know for sure. But alas, that is not what you say; your mind is coming to a different, hideous conclusion.
“That casket looks out of place. Let us investigate.” You say. Drats!
You receive two nods from the others and no words. Rory seems too tired to say anything, while you never expect much in the way of conversation from Alyssa. At least this allows you to mentally continue to complain and reason why you can look at the armory later; after all, there’s no one here at the moment, so you should have all the time in the world. Maybe you could actually just send Rory to the casket and take the keys from Alyssa-
And you’re here. Drats again!
The casket almost blends into the other boxes stuffed into this corner. With a lift of a few lids of the unscrewed, you see they mostly contain perishable items. Fruits, vegetables, and a helping of wildflowers; from the particular smells, it seems like, at least in this room, garlic is as favored as the usual lavender is here. There must be a specific reason for that, then, lavender you can chalk up to either noble eccentricity or in relation to something with the undead in the nearby forest, but garlic has a rather different, more pungent, smell compared to lavender. Yet, it’s unlikely you’ll get an answer to that question for now, so you’ll likely just need to shelve that thought. Now, the casket itself is wooden and seems to be of high quality at that, with no signs of rot or wear that you’d expect on something that has once been buried, so it being a spoil of graverobbing is unlikely. The more likely case is that this casket, in the rather unsophisticated way it’s been stored, is more likely to be a coffin for a noble dear death so that coming funeral proceedings can be handled swiftly. The only problem with that is that both Lord and Lady Bloodgrave are in amazing health as of now, disregarding some recent head trauma. None of their extended relatives have reason to be at this estate either, so this casket is unlikely to be for them either. Then, of course, is the engraving of Morgan on a small golden plaque on the coffin lid. This coffin is not for a Bloodgrave.
