Unrelated to Artemisia Gentileschi, but I think some anon earlier was asking for rpg lorebook inspiration,
>>6114350so there is this random 354 page rpg setting called ARTESIA, I think it was maybe a graphic novel series...? (I don't know anything about it) that was just created by some random very talented illustrator, this person is seriously into his own worldbuilding but more importantly he has some artistic talent lol so he created the 354 rpg rulebook, it is a complete system with huge amounts of illustrated maps, drawings, chronologies and worldbuilding to support it.
The Artesia rpg is pretty standard I remember it had some interesting social / charisma driven rules based upon your noble standing and status but otherwise it is very standard Renaissance medieval Europe type setting, the rules are comprehensive all the usual things are covered, there is some Hellenic myth type stuff woven in, but I mention ARTESIA simply because the art is incredibly intricate (there are pages and pages of it, every sheet is illustrated, a monumental effort), I was very impressed by the look of this rpg setting book. The worldbuilding and mapmaking is Tolkien grade (in terms of the names and linguistic construction of all the places and everything, the historicity of it all sounds and looks and feels very plausible) there is nothing really new in the setting, but it is pretty to look at
