"Romulus, Astra," you quietly address your companions with a voice as gentle as a feather. "There are twenty two goblochs in the next cave. Their resonance is a smooth vibration, barely stronger than a goblin out of water. Most carry crude spears hewn of driftwood and stone, whilst a single carries a cleaver carved of coral that he pretends is a sword."
Astra nods at your words, saying, "You want us to stay behind until you've cleared them out?"
With a shake of your head, you tell her, "No. I will stay behind whilst the two of you clear them out."
[Thy will be done, my Lady,] Romulus answers for the both of them before Astra can finish processing your words. [You can rest assured that Miss Astra and I shall see them slain and laid before you as tribute. Mongrel wretches such as these are no match for a stormwolf on his own, let alone one with a rider. It shall not take one minute.]
With every word Romulus says through his psychic connection, Astra grows ever paler. "Wait, wait, wait, Rommy what are you doing!? The last time I went up against this many goblin creatures, I got my butt handed to me and stuffed into a maid dress! I don't wanna scrub the floors of another mud hut ever again..."
"Don't worry," you give her a thumbs up. "If you end up in any actual danger, I'm right here to bail you out."
"Why does that sound like you're not gonna help unless I'm about to -EEP!"
[Because these goblin things are weak, Miss Astra!] Loping forward with the elfin woman clinging tight against his back, Romulus charges into the cave. Black lightning roils upon his fur, the arcs gently avoiding Astra as they move along their path to crash violently into the ground. With the snape of his lupine jaws, the first goblin ties as his throat is torn from his body. [And we shall rip and tear at them, until it is done!]
Romulus punctuates his words with a furious howl that echoes like thunder across the canyon. All around him, the black lighting that dances upon his fur erupts into a violent storm, striking down the nearest of the goblochs and rendering them into a fine bone-white ash.
"But I don't want to rip and teeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeear!!!!!"
Despite her rather vocal complaints, once she realizes that she has no choice in the matter but to fight for her life, Astra proves herself more competent than you might have feared her to be. While you assume much of her newfound strength comes from the peach you fed her last night, she nonetheless shows plenty of skill in the arts of...

>The Black Mage. So anyways she started blasting.
>The White Mage. So anyways she started healing.
>The Red Mage. She harms. She heals. She even uses swords.
>The Green Mage. Those spells are esoteric and do not affect things directly, but they're certainly useful.
>The Princess Knight. A holy-sword wielding champion of chivalry. No wonder she lost to goblins.
