LAW AND ORDER - CASE FILE NO. 68 - SEX, SLANDER, AND A CERTAIN RED LIGHT DISTRICT.
PART 1
>In the Crucible Justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: The Claws who investigate and persecute the offenders, and the Arbiter who hands down the verdict. These are their stories.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gP3MuUTmXNk"And here we are." explained Carter as he walked out of the Obsidian hallway to his latest traveling companion. "Closest way station to Laoc. We should be there soon over this hill. It's a quaint town, with a robust market and run by a really good mayor. It's even got a..."
Carter's voice trailed off as he, his spider companions, and Liz stared at the drastic change in Laoc's urban landscape.
"You sure know how to pick a place Carter." said Liz, moving to hook a hand around Carter's arm, the unexpected intimate contact making the male hot under the collar. "Know any good spots?"
"I...uh..."
"Try the tavern, Try the tavern!" said Majima in a stage whisper, a new addition to Carter's retinue of Mindful sentient Jumping Spiders.
"Sierra's Oasis is a good one. Though, with all of this urban development, I'm not sure if we'll be able to find it."
Carter turned towards his troupe of arachnid companions. "Would you mind mind helping us out?"
His mind was immediately assaulted by a chorus of excitement.
"Oh boy! Exploration!"
"Adventure!"
"Tally ho!"
"Mission: start."
"Bet you can't find the Oasis first!"
"You're on!"
It wasn't long before Carter, Liz, and Carter's friends located Sierra's tavern. The place had been renovated and expanded in floorspace to accomodate for the increased patron traffic, and after a little finangling with Liz's Bone-plated meat-bicycle and parking, the pair and Carter's associated friends/pets entered Sierra's Oasis.
"Damn." muttered Carter, observing the scene before him. "This is nearly a full house. Kinda liked it better back when there were less daughters around. Hey Sierra?"
Upon hearing her name called, the Amorphous one eyed Bartender looked up. "Oh, Carter! Nearly missed you! What's going on, and who's the calcite cutie?"
"Oh, her? She's just someone I met." said Carter, deflecting the probing question with a question of his own. "You got any empty seats? or a table for two in a corner somewhere?"
Sierra shook her head. "Sorry. Most of the 2-seaters have been taken. We've got a couple of 4-seater tables. Are you two willing to share a table?"
"As long as the company aren't the type to be get rowdy at my appearance." grumbled Carter.
To Carter's small fortune, the bartender nodded in sympathy. "I get ya, given that you're a trans. And a dashing one to boot, though a bit more on the cute side than the handsome."
"Just point me to a table please, Sierra."
"Right."
"Hey Solomon! Yan! Do you mind sharing a table?"
