>>5904516You run through the forest that surrounds the castle. You plow through branches, are cut by bramble, and gets twigs caught in your armor, but dignity is the least of your concerns right now. The Titanus is faster than one would think by looking at it. It hovers and moves above the trees, knocking down oaks with its blade as it searches for you and Anemone. Several smaller, Viskam-like beams fire from the shield in a barrage. Wherever the beams fall, an explosion follows, and it is not long before the forest is caught in a sea of flames. If this was just a sample of the weaponry the Agarthans possessed during their golden age, it was no surprise how they managed to almost bring the Goddess to heel.
You emerge from the forest, your lungs on fire and your legs feeling like jelly. Looking ahead, you see that the Blackwings and the rebel army are on the move, likely springing to action due to the commotion at the castle. Your Pegasus Knights are up in the air, escorting with them Beathan and Stormy. You desperately wave your hand up above, hoping to catch their attention. Miraculously, this works, and the group makes their landing a few feet in front of you. Ingrid dismounts, rushing forward.
“Blair! What in the Goddess’ name is happeni-“
The Titanus lands ahead of you with a massive thud that shakes the very ground you stand on. It faces the oncoming rebel army, which quickly ceases its marching to stare at the monstrosity before them.
“No army can stand before the might of Agarthan ingenuity!” The Titanus exclaims for all to hear. It slams its shield on the ground and holds its sword out. “In the name of my lord, you shall be executed for your treasons!”
“They’ll be eaten alive!” Anemone cries out. She grabs Ingrid by the shoulder. “Where is our ballista?!”
“I-in the backline!”
“Blair!” Anemone says, mounting Stormy. “You must distract him. It’s you that Wedge wants the most. Keep him away from the army or they will all perish! We need to keep the Titanus steady and distracted until the ballista is in firing range.”
>“How am I supposed to do that?!” You exclaim, mounting Beathan. Attached to his straps is a satchel, where you find several round small objects inside. Erwin must have finished crafting his bombs.>Blasting Power Bombs! (x5 Obtained)“That’s a start.” Anemone says. “Don’t expect them to finish the job on their own, but they’ll at least catch his attention. Now go!” Anemone flies off on her mount, taking great care to avoid the weapon’s path.
“Let me help, Blair.” Ingrid says, Luin firmly clutched in her hands.
>A): Distract the Titanus with your bombs. (SPD+DEX: 79% Chance to Dodge)>B): Allow Ingrid to probe at the creature first.>C): There’s no way you stand a chance against that thing. Wait until it attacks the army and then hit it from behind.
