"That's-" She clearly wanted to rebuff you and say something like 'Ineedtogoback, sorry!' while she darted away. But the harpy girl surprised you by nodding her head again. "Eh what the heck, I'm already late by a few days. A few more minutes won't hurt too much."
"You look like you need more than a few minutes." You said, noticing the mess of hair and feathers that was caked in mud. "You're clearly exhausted."
"Nah, I'll be fine. The towels and shower are good enough for me!"
She said that, but it was obvious how this flight ran her ragged. You knew you could probably tempt her to stay here for a while longer.
>"How would staying here for a day or two sound? I'm sure you'd like a nice bed to sleep in— and I don't mean anything obscene by it, just a place for you to rest." (Eulia will remain in Heaven's Landing for part of the week)
>"If you're sure about it. Just try not to overwork yourself, alright?" It sounded like she's already running late. Best not to keep her from her job for too long.

Whatever the case, you now had some mail.
You went to the dedicated 'mail room', which was once a study and atelier, and you began opening the letters. As always, you perused the one from Aila first:
"<span class="mu-i">To my Master and my first love, John Doe,
The weeks away from you have been unbearable for me. I've found comfort in the memory of your embrace, which I long to have once more with you, Master. I cannot help but think of you in every passing moment, even as I try my best at my studies the memory of my time with you threatens to make me lose my mind</span>..."
The letter was much like the ones she'd sent prior to this— romantic, feminine, and occasionally written in what you discovered was an elvish style of poetry. She requested you to prepare that letter to her father if you hadn't already, and then to send it when you could. It was fortunate that you'd invited Eulia to remain for a while, as the harpy bird would happily take any messages you gave her after taking her 'bird-bath'. You felt as though some of Ayane's good fortune was spreading to you.
In a couple weeks' time (the week after the next) the Academy cycle would be over. This would, according to Aila, make it ideal for you to come to Centria, since some more reasonable royal envoys from Elfalior would be present that day.
Aila credited you with this success, explaining that the artifacts you made for her were critical in smoothing things over on her end. You made three artifacts with the power to levitate, imitating the ancient magic that made the flying tower hover in the air— though to a lesser degree.
With this she was able to buy time with her cousins, despite not being convinced that two of the three artifacts were truly ancient (you took notes of her explanation of why this was the case), swaying them into believing she was doing her best to complete her holy mission.
