Cleverly, they bandits had taken to hiding by the cliffs near the sea. Not close enough to worry about falling in, but in such a way that attacks would be awkward to make. While perilous to outside viewers, there were ledges to sit in and which were unable to be reached by your turrets and clankers. And these bandits, mostly beguilers, were known to have high agility. You assumed the Bandit King was the same.
"Blimey, no chance of them slippin' off to the hills or down the town's markets, eh guv?" Cattleya meowed to you. She, too, had been doing exceptionally well with building the rest of the mansion's hospital/daycare wing. You made sure to help her relax every day when she was done— her appreciative purrs and increased fondness of you were worth it.
"Not with how we've set things up." If they tried anything, there were countless things you set up waiting to kill them. Honestly you could just go right now and attack them with some cannonfire, but you were waiting for them to make the first move to be absolutely sure the Bandit King would either stay dead or be captured. You really didn't want a repeat of what happened with Oghlurk.
"It'll be fine. Master and I worked hard on this stuff!" Mel said, then began to give a small explanation on the many intricate traps you'd both placed.
"Sounds like a bloody pain to manage, guv." She meowed at you when the beguiler was done.
"It'll be worth it." You said back to your Cat.
"It will." Gerty repeated in a noble tone, supporting you when she could and doing her best to make you appear stronger. "Master, shall we go against them now? They are ripe for destruction."
You considered her words and your next move.
>"Fuck it. They don't have their artifacts anymore, let's just end this." (Use your BoatMech or The Vixen's Luck to get a good angle? Or just do things by foot with your most battle-hardy wives?)
>"I'm planning on making specialized clankers for situations like this." You'll use machines against them. (Will lead to an extra decision when deciding what new clankers you want to create)
>"Not yet. We wait for them to make the first move, then we pick them off one by one." It was the original plan Gerty and Ruby thought of. And with the new artifacts, you were practically guaranteed to win.
