This is too much. What can you do if it IS the government, what can you do if it IS supernatural? This is far beyond your control, and you need to take things one at a time.
You tell Etsy you'd rather chill until you can process all that new information.

You give her a thumbs up, and she starts the show. It's about some guy that finds a book that can bring back the dead, and the way it starts to impact society.
Etsy seems determined to critique every aspect of the show, which is a little annoying.
"See, I don't get why he'd do that. He's supposed to be a genius, right?" She says, grabbing a handful of chips from the bag.
You retort with a half-ass theory about how it's meant to show his hubris, and how even smart people can fail if they get overconfident.
"It shows he's a dumbass, I just can't take the rest of the anime seriously after that."
You keep going back and forth, arguing over menial things. The conversation goes to your jobs, how she sometimes sells hardware designs for way too much money, how you sometimes had to draw straws to know who would clean the ice-cream machine. You start talking about school, a time that was hellish for the both of you for entirely different reasons.
