>>5358572Hmm. Usable biomass replacing oil reserves. Yeah, I can see that. Though I wonder if other formerly oil-rich areas would see similar results, does Crucible Venezuela have Nectar?
I love the idea of the Crucible taking old ruins and placing Relics in there, for the sake of dungeon crawls. Some ancient temple rising above the fleshscape is a great image.
>>5358583What's her Relic? Something that enhances her Hive Mistress powers? Or maybe with her theme of conspicuous consumption, a Gluttonous Relic? That could be cool, like it gives her tangible benefits to consuming more than she needs, so it's reinforcing her behavior.
It's interesting to think of how all the power-players in the Middle East now are women. In a region that's often denied women a role in governance, now they're all that's left. That's going to cause some serious culture clash once the Crucible ends.
>>5358841I think some parts of Africa would probably have more ordered systems. Ghana, for example, is both relatively prosperous and politically stable, I'd expect them to be alright. Well, as alright as anyone is in the Crucible. But if there are that many Amalgams on the continent, yeah, I can see a lot of smaller groups being able to thrive and tribal allegiances becoming more common than national ones.
>>5359254Many Central and South American cultures have myths of terrifying star demons waiting to descend upon the world. The Crucible makes a good substitute for the Tzmisce. Hell, their creator was even a horrifying dismembered gore-goddess, it fits.
Also, it is interesting to think of how South America (Africa, as well) would recover from various hegemonic influences on it, in the Crucible and the years afterwards. Like, all existing economic structures are gone, and likely to not come back in the same form. I hope they recover well. And that the blood sacrifices end.
>>5359257I feel like she's responsible for a lot of the mythologization of the region. Like they were into it a bit already, but once she starts really getting into the ritual sacrifice with her Core and calling back to Aztec religion, then it becomes a big cultural thing for everyone to play along with, and the more results she gets the more of an orthodoxy builds up around it.
A note, though: I think Xipe Totec works better for the Crucible than Quetzalcoatl. He's the "Flayed God", after all, got that gore factor.
>>5359261I like Quetz, but this gal sucks. Not as a character concept, I just don't like her as a person.
>>5360309Sounds right. I like to think the Pacific has a lot of island-hopping and aquatic Daughters. That fits with characters that have already been established like Yamato or the Widow. It's all pirate battles and kaiju.
>>5360312Oh no. A giantess. We must never let Rath meet her. It will only end in pic related.
Nah, but seriously, I think she's cool. The note about her picking a fight with Levi sounds neat, I'd like to hear his perspective on that.
