“Yeah, sure, mate.” You reply with a shrug; while it is usually just you and Luke, you do not mind. Not really caring if more people join the pair of you, you nod. After a drink, you are happy to talk anyone’s ear off.
Luke waves the duo over, “Hey girls-”
“It is women, actually.” Interrupts an impudent Vila wearing the frown of a spoiled princess, with her arms crossed under her modest breast, giving them a slight purposeful jiggle.
You join Luke gazing at her well-clothed chest, the sterile sexless lives you have lived up to now causing you to gawk at the simple motion. The teen hormones racing through your system stirring an animalistic desire, which you quickly wipe away, but a blush remains on your face displaying Vila’s victory. Looking back up at the pair of young women, Vila’s frown is long gone; what remains is a proud smirk and a flush of her own, deepening the red of her cheeks. Claire is pulling a face that couldn’t be more dissimilar. A horrified mask of shock covers her face with her mouth stuck in a wide gawp.
“Er, so ladies,” You suppress a chuckle at Luke’s words, not quite sure who or what he meant by ladies. “We were wondering if you wanted to join the pair of us for a drink at the bar?”
Claire, broken out of the spell, quickly nods in acceptance while Vila answers for the pair, “Yes, we would be happy to.”
Surprised at Claire’s quick agreement, your eyebrows raise. You figured she would either, outright reject the offer, or it would need a lot of prodding by Vila to twist her arm. While she used to be prickly and competitive in the past when you studied together on Coruscant, she has lost that in these two years. But she does remain quiet and awkward, too shy and insecure, struggling to think of the best response to everything. By the time she thinks of as suitable reply, the conversation has long past the moment. You do feel for the young woman, where words come naturally to you, she mentally flails, too nervous to get how she feels out.
“Okay,” You reply with a clap of your hands, “Everyone, we will meet up at nine and walk to the bar. It is just a short walk away from here. Don’t wear Jedi robes or clothing, and we typically don’t bring Lightsabers, but you can if you want. We wear normal everyday clothes; this is our time off, and we don’t want to be the centre of attention.”
Vila looks at you with a hunter’s smile, “I don’t mind attention.”
“Different kind of attention,” You answer with a slight grin and shake of your head.
