Hawthorne slaps your back.
"Welcome to being a cop Officer DeLucia, the pension isn't guaranteed but the lifetime of unease is. Unless this is a shivers thing?"
You shrug.
"I don't know, Gotham is always pulling and plucking on something for me."
"Don't let that go, keep your guard up. This event is gonna be a real bitch, I trust in you though, Rookie."
You both left the bar that night and you got home to a guest, Huntress sat in your favorite chair sipping a beer, legs dangling over the arm. She tipped the can to you.
"Officer. Came through with something on Banks, at least I think it's something."
"You aren't sure?" You ask her, deciding to skip the entire 'What are you doing in my house' bit.
"I'm not like him, it takes some real convincing before I decide something is fishy. Something like handing a soon to be detective a file outside of the office."
She points to a folder she has on your coffee table, next to some more empty beer cans. You look at them and back at her.
"Girl needs to drink." She says shrugging.
You grumble and open the folder, some pretty dark shots of Banks and someone who is a little too shadowed for you to make a hard ID. Another shot of Banks handing over a file, you can't read the writing on the front but it's bright red and usually only the confidential files have that on them. You sigh.
"You couldn't have gotten a better picture with the guys face?"
"I'm sorry, I'll bring my flash next time. Maybe I'll yell 'Say Cheese' besides it doesn't matter I heard the name. He called him Detective Gorchakov."
You swallow, you remember that name. He was one of the officers you could have chosen for training, maybe he's training with Banks? You drop the file.
"You didn't record the conversation I'm guessing."
She shakes her head no.
"Didn't bring my tape recorder bolt to their meeting." She eyes you from behind the mask and takes a long sip before setting down an empty can.
"I think he's warranted a little visit from Question and I, we can talk to him about his extracurriculars." She kicks her legs and pops up to her feet near silently.
>"Absolutely not, I'm not going to let you rough up a cop. Keep following him until you get something actually damning." >"Absolutely not, The detective is who we want but we want him in court not a hospital. Follow him." >"Leave me out of this, whatever you two do I don't want to hear about it. Just bring me something that would work in a court.">"How about you let me talk to Banks, as a friend and see if I can get something out of him." >Write-In
