A woman who grew up in the heyday of the Soviet Union only to witness its fall at the height of her diplomatic career, causing her family life to slowly spiral into decay in the chaos of the USSR's fall. Divorced once, married twice, then divorced again, Ivana threw herself into politics in as a means to eventually spite the world as she worked hard to guide her country back into prominence of old Soviet glory through aggressive and dubiously legal means in the world of politics. Then the Crucible arrived and put her back to square one, not that it hindered her any.
To her, the Crucible's arrival provided a wonderful opportunity of power. A way to enact revenge and a means to show the world of Russia's glory, through blatant blackmail, bribes, coercion, and chronic backstabbing, if not force, terror, and the cruelest of tortures of such vulgarity that even West Prime would balk at the practices Ivana indulges in for cruelty's sake. The world clearly knows Ivana is not a saint, but to Ivana, it's simple payback for the humiliation her country deserves. And if the Defiant won't cooperate or bend knee to her demands, then this embittered Babushka and her legion will simply deal with her like any other defiant rabble.
