>>5625548Turns out Kai did have melons in the kitchen, and multiple different types! While he was busy cutting slices of cantaloupes and watermelons, he heard of screams coming from outside.
He rushed out to see what was happening, being met with Kenichi worrying over an exhausted Kaede
“Given how shocked you look, I guess you met some of creatures living around here. Did anyone get bitten? I bought extra antidotes.”
After a round of assurances, Kai smiled
“Well, since everyone is fine, let’s just get in and eat. I was about to call all of you anyway.”
He brought them to the kitchen, where there was a table with the melons and some cups of milk
“So what are you waiting for? Dig in!”

After dinner, Kai told the students to wait in the new tatami room for a while, before returning with a heavy chest, opening it and letting his students take a look.
“These are the 18 arms that most Wushu styles are built around. Yama, pick the one you feel you are most familiar with. I normally don’t fight with weapons, but sparing an unarmed man often doesn’t help a weapon martial artist, so I’ll do too. My masters always went on about the spirit of the blade or something like that.”
“And Kaede, pay attention. Knife fighting uses many principles of other weapons. And knowing the moves that your opponent could use is also vital.”
Let’s roll for the spar
I think we should roll physical, power, resilience and agility
