“The Deep One eats a lot. She’s a big girl, and she needs as much fuel as she can get. Sharks never stop moving, you know.”
“Yeah? Well this one’s been sleeping in a queen-sized bed since last night. But…I guess I can’t complain since they’re here to help. When do you want them?”
“Take your time. They’re headed out to have some fun in the sun today. Make sure that the pizzas are hot and ready for them when they get back.” you demanded.
Koa let out a deep sigh. “Yeah, yeah…”
It was then that you wondered whether he would be the one to pick up the pizzas personally, or if he would choose to delegate that responsibility to someone else.

When you met up with Ana, you were slightly surprised to see that her outfit was far more casual than it had been when you’d first landed in Nevada. Her long, flowing dress was replaced by a high quality, white dress shirt with short, ruffled sleeves that went up to her elbows, a tight, black tank top, and beige polyester pants that complimented her well-sculpted figure.
“You didn’t bring your suitcase.” she observed, her sunglasses obscuring the path of her gaze.
“That’s because I don’t want any distractions today. Plus, it’s a pain to keep track of.”
A grin spread across Ana’s lips, then. “You bought a different suit for this occasion as well. It fits you, nicely.”
“You don’t look so bad yourself, Ms. Kravinoff.” you said, not hiding your interest in her appearance.
The woman flipped her head back and to the side, whipping her long, blonde ponytail around in a dramatic flourish that bordered on being downright majestic. “Thank you for noticing. Shall we go?”
She offered you her arm, and you wasted no time in stepping beside her and linking her arm with yours. “We shall. Get ready for the most relaxing day of your life.”
Ana chuckled lightly and leaned her head against your shoulder. “Let’s hope you can keep that promise. The last time you took me out, I was hypnotized by a criminal clown.”
“That…probably won’t happen again.” you said weakly.

Ana was pleasantly surprised when you arrived at the Day Spa that you’d looked into earlier. There, the two of you changed out of your clothes into a pair of incredibly soft, silky robes.
First was the mani-pedi. The spa’s staff sat you down and waited on you hand and foot by…caring for your hands and feet. They trimmed your nails, filed down calluses, and focused on pressure points in order to improve blood flow and alleviate some of the stress you’d been building up over the past few years.
But it wasn’t until they stripped you and laid you down on the massage table that you realized just how much you needed this. Much like Ana, your life has become a whirlwind of activity, both supernatural and superhuman in nature. And it had been a while since you sat down and really, actually relaxed.
