Hoo. You're going to have to deal with 199X soon. At least you have Anthony here to help out with that overgrown brat. Shooting it last time didn't really do much but the molotovs might actually hurt the anomaly!
You're pretty sure you have some time before it tries to break out again. "Don't worry about that." You point towards the dented airlock. "We're dealing with that later."
"U-u-uhm. A-are you sure?"
"Absolutely. At the very least, we should prepare before we go in there." You make your way towards the propane grill. Your coworkers follow right behind you, not quite sure why you're going there first.
The ACE OF BATONS (a small roomba-like robot you bought ages ago) follows behind Lucy, cleaning up the puddles of liquefied flesh she leaves behind.
You want to use up the last two WINE-SOAKED SANDWICHES but, at the same time, you want to make them somewhat palatable again. You throw the two cold sandwiches onto the grill to warm them back up. Anthony strikes up a conversation as you absentmindly work.
"Quick question while yer grillin' there. 'bout a few days ago, ya fought some big tough scary guy, ya?" Anthony warmly asks.
"Mmh hmm. Lucy was there."
"I-I had to p-patch him up. I-It was, uhm, pretty scary."
"Overheard some of my friends talkin' about a guy who was helping you." And just like that, all of the warmth drains from his voice. "Said they looked like a pal of mine who went missin' a while back. Know anythin' about that?"
Oh. So that's how FET got his 'body'. You glance at Anthony, trying your best to keep your expression neutral. "His name is FET. We're talking to him later." You don't bother saying anything else since, well, what else is there to say?
Anthony grunts, but he doesn't push you for any further information. Lucy glances nervously at the two of you, worried something might happen.
You swiftly change the topic. "Hey, here." You toss Lucy one of the reheated sandwiches. "Time to do a 'test'! You can have this one-" Before you could even finish your sentence, Lucy had already finished her sandwich. Her mouth is smeared with a jam-like substance.
She smiles sheepishly. "S-sorry. I-I was hungry." She nervously wipes the mess off her mouth.
"...and we'll feed this other one to the cat!"
Anthony cracks a warm smile, as if he wasn't breathing down your neck only a second ago. "Aye, you're gonna spoil that cat's appetite. If that damn thing even has one."
"So be it." You shrug with a smirk. You head over to the cage that's containing EL FELINO and you quickly toss the sandwich inside. The cage violently rattles and shakes as the beast tears into the sandwich.
Your coworkers huddle around the cage with you. The three of you watch to see what happens to it now that it has eaten one of the magical healing sandwiches.
On Lucy's end, her condition has improved, but not in the way you expect? You were expecting her body to solidify or revert back to normal flesh, but this is equally as interesting.
