>>6056073“Got you!” you shout, whirling and firing five Death Slashes, one from each fingertip. But your attacks pass through empty air, slicing through a few trees before vanishing along with that energy signature. Then another one appears, and another, and another, until dozens of ki signatures surround you. Each one lasts for about a dozen seconds as more and more appear, rendering your ability to sense ki useless. Unfortunately for the assassin, you know older, more powerful techniques. So, once more you close your eyes, fully attuning yourself to the living will of the universe itself. Not only to see the flow of time, to accelerate your mind in relation to your body and continuously see a second into the future, but also to prepare for his next attack. His strikes can put you out of commission, so you have to get this right.
For several seconds, nothing happens, you standing there waiting for his attack. But then you see it, a blast firing at you from through a tree directly at your chest. And now that you know it's coming square up, just for the shot at your chest to come as you foresaw. You raise your right hand, putting it directly in the path of the shot and concentrating on the incoming energy. You catch the attack, drawing it's energy directly into you. Letting the energy from Hit's attack flow into you, dissipating it and turning that power into your own.
“Your tricks don't work on me, assassin.” you say to the forest with a smirk, not letting your connection to the flow of the universe fade. “Now, how about we end-?”
But before you can finish your question you see more attacks coming, turning and intercepting them each in turn. With your hands you catch the next three attacks, catching the first one at your back, then the one from directly overhead, and finally a third one up from the ground below you. But you catch them all, absorbing and changing the energy of his attacks from harmful to harmless.
“Come now, assassin. This attack cannot stop me.” you say, and with your connection to the universe find him far easier than with your ki sense. Then with a thought and small exertion of will grab him with telekinesis, pulling him to you through the tree he'd been standing behind and the second one between you and he, pulling his throat directly into your outstretched hand. “It would be so easy to take your life here and now. But such would disqualify me, and set a rather poor example of MY universe's civility to Grand Zen-Oh. So, instead you must leave the arena.”
And before he can react you jab him in the guts with your right hand, knocking the wind out of the assassin and breaking at least two ribs before turning, pitching him overhand like a javelin at the barrier. Yet even winded and in clear agony he doesn't fall, flipping and stopping his retreat mere inches from the shield.
