In the actual Free League game, there are skills and attribute rolls combined (eg the dice roll might be 1d6+1d10 together etc) but 4chan does not like unmatching dice in the options field. So I might let just a relevant skill add 1 die to the pool, but skills have to be very specific (no "Skill: Melee Weapons, more like Skill: Rapier etc). Upgrades come in the form of a die step increase.
