>>6149486Good eye, anon! It completely slipped my mind that calculations from Resolve activate as soon as we're at the threshold. So on Turn 2, assuming we go last, don't use the Crest of Indech and the Construct also chooses not to use the Crest of Indech, if we attack the Construct with Indech, we'd deal 19 (first hit, Construct now in Resolve range) + 11 (second hit, with Resolve), for 30 DMG total. It would be on 2 HP afterwards, at which point, it takes its counterattacks, activates Indech, and then strikes us for 25 (first hit, Tristain now in Resolve range) + 18 (second hit, with Resolve), which *would* kill us.
Looks like I was looking at the wrong numbers in regards to the 36/38 DMG thing; we'll be in Resolve range so long as we're hit twice. Again, thanks for keeping the math straight.
As for Macuil... looks like you're right. In that case, magic damage is a pretty decent way of getting around their armor. I take back what I said about Macuil-- it's pretty damn good.
Could use a rewrite of the description to "double damage" instead of "double atk power" for clarity, imo.tl;dr: we'd win by going second, using the crest of Indech on the second turn IF the Construct uses the Crest of Indech during the first turn counterattack. Otherwise, we'd lose if we only attack with the axe. It's better to assume that Mr. Bones will use the best possible way to win, so *he's* going to hold off on the Crest of Indech to counter us going second.
Thus, to secure a victory...

>B): Allow the construct to attack you first. (How do you retaliate?)>Counterattack with Steel Axe with the Crest of Indech. Then initiate with Fire and Crest of Macuil on Tristain's turnWe'll either need to use double Indech or Indech + Macuil to win, so we might as well save a charge of Indech. Plus, this is suitably dramatic, reveals to Adeline that she would've gotten dumpstered if she tried, and shows off our second Crest to Nadia and Cassius, hah.
