Having finished designing the symbol, you take a step back look it over again, then a couple more times, until you finally nod, satisfied by the look. It certainly looks regal, at least to your eye. You also probably broke thousands of years of tradition on how coats of arms should look, or more modern rules on how symbols should be simple and all that nonsense. Though you don’t care. What you have before you is a symbol, not only one for you and your family, but also one for the people as a whole. You still need a proper flag for your nation as a whole, and a name, but this seems a bit too sudden, you know full well that putting this thing up will already draw plenty of attention, so I’d be best for you to simply settle down for the moment and let everyone mull it over. Though, with how your council handled the situation, you have no doubt that it will be a smooth enough process.
With a bit of excitement in your step you quickly rush out of your room.
“Where are you going ?” Celyn asks regarding your rapid pace.
“I’ll be back soon !” You quickly respond to her and little Johnny whose regarding you with eyes filled with curiosity.
As you rush out, you reach the airlock and quickly get into your spacesuit, as clumsy and bothersome as it is. This does slow you down as you quickly rush to the newly completed factory that has already begun to churn out various bits and knickknacks. At the current limited production rate it consumes 1 standard unit of common materials every 3 months. You could kick it gear and easily produce far more, but that’s enough for your needs at the moment. Especially your current need.
Getting to the entrance, you quickly go through the airlock yet again and enter the factory proper. Assembly lines slowly buzz as the materials and parts are being transported, machine limbs descent and quickly process by cutting, welding, and assembling, upon the factory floor walk a few colonists inspecting the work and ensuring that nothing goes wrong. If you had that core cracked, it could easily overlook this factory and everything else really, not like the colony’s big enough to necessitate a stronger A.I.
“ZACK !” You call out as you rush into the control office overlooking the factory floor itself and controlling the machinery. As you had expected, alongside the factory manager is your chief engineer, the little bit of time ago when the factory started working, he kept popping up there to continuously request custom jobs. “Make me a shield !”
The man and the manager just stare at you. “Alright.” Finally, Zack says with a nod.
