Finally, after so much work, TalOS found a place where the ritual fails to operate in its totality. Such a thing was hard as the Priest studied every function within the system and compared it to what was happening inside. The fact was that each and every movement was to invoke something within the material universe which corresponded with that rite.
He was learning how to feel the Motive Force. His soul, no longer bound to the realm of immaterium, was the perfect tool to search out the Material Universe. It was because of this that TalOS could feel thin streams of force which he traced all the way to nearby planets thanks to the sensory arrays placed upon the Blackstone Fortress.
That is what helped him realize that truth which was first said. The ritual that TalOS was commiting was a generalist ritual which was meant to work in every situation that it could be performed in. Such was the Machine God’s will, who blessed the Magi with this knowledge.
In his study of it TalOS began categorizing these movements into a matrix. What flowed with what and what was being affected. There were oddities there, like the certain note calling upon the light of a Star belonging to system 35-67B. Others were much more immediate as they used the electrical flow of a nearby conduit.
The Motive Force moved through all things and all things have effects upon others. Thus it was not unreasonable that planetary alignment had some reflection upon something as small as a Plasma Gun.
It was not lost upon TalOS that what he was thinking was deeply similar to how a sorcerer uses the Warp. But as always the Fabricator General felt that it was the other way around. That mankind might have known about these techniques deep within their foundation, but it was sorcery which grabbed them as they did not know the Motive Force existed. A barrier of access if you will, one that led Mankind into the deep depravity of the Warp instead of the safety of Truth.
The Warp in all its ways is a twisted mockery of reality. There are gods in both, but where the Machine God of benevolent and caring those of the Warp are devilish and sinful. That is the reason they do not deserve to be called Gods, but the Daemons that they are.
With these thoughts TalOS continued his study. Everything that he found out about the universe was something far more exhilarating than sorcerery. What TalOS was finding was the core concepts of the Universe. Truths that the Warp cannot deny him for he is a Pariah. By studying these workings he will gain enlightenment.
