>>5369197https://youtu.be/d0LtTi8wwNsScurrying towards you with lightning speed, the miniaturized demon in robot-form wastes no time trying to latch itself onto you for a second time, its companion following closely behind.
If the robot had any self-preservation instincts, it would’ve realized that you were more than ready for it this time around. Leaping through the air with all the fury of a rabid badger, its trajectory is halted by the interception of your fist, and the demonoid robot is sent flying backwards, bouncing like a skipping stone upon the tile.
Movie-bot, on the other hand, seems to have more wherewithal than its companion, scooting quickly out of sight before you can make it into scrap metal.
The only thing that you can be grateful for is that the robots seem to think you’re some sort of animal and not a human, likely due to the animalistic nature of your mutation, and you assume that’s the only reason why they haven’t sent in the actual, normal calvary yet.
You don’t want to find out what will happen if they scan the others. Doubling back, you find that all your companions are still in one piece; but the robots tailing them are the same kind as the one that attacked you, along with one of those wheely, white robots… or was that the same bot? You can’t be certain…
Well, this is just your luck, but, if it’s a choice between these psycho-bots attacking you or the others, it’s a no-brainer for you.
Again… the fact that the bots think you’re an animal and not a human nor a mutant gives you an idea.
“Movemovemove–” You hiss, pushing past the rest of your team so you’re at the forefront of the group. “Someone help me destroy these things while I distract them.”
“What are they?” Julia asks, blue eyes flicking to the small horde as she shoots them a look of mild distaste.
“Pest control robots.” You state. “They think I’m an animal.”
“Ah.” She nods in understanding. “Carry on then.”
