Okay, now that we know the enemy (probably) won't be attacking from the south, that gives us a much better idea of where they will actually be coming from.
I have drawn in red arrows where it seems they will be deploying. Knowing that, it seems like there will be two main fronts. One to the western coast, and one from the eastern north.
If we deploy units out there to face them head on, then I have outlined in orange the area where I'd suggest people place your units + fortifications.
If they outnumber us, then we want to fight their units one at a time rather than let them swarm/surround our troops.
I also placed a little orange band down below since we probably won't need as many troops left to guard now that we can place a few fortifications.

If Sunset dies, I plan on having Rue'Vahn commit suicide. I've had that personal rule ever since the first raid, but thankfully I've managed to keep her all the way. So I'd like to ask if both Rue'Vahns unit and Sunset can count as my Warlord unit since I intend to for the death of either of them to have the same game-over consequence for me.
