You find a few bits of information on a pirate group that'd terrorized the universe a few decades ago before Boros and his Dark Matter pirates destroyed them. You keep scrolling though more and more different, less relevant and even more obscure references in various languages, until you catch something interesting. You follow the thread you find, a rather intricate web searching for the same boxes suddenly appearing on your world. Swiping all the unnecessary information away, you hunt this user down, finding the user “NewGodHunter”s information and pulling up more than a dozen screens. Seems this person's been hunting these boxes as well, finding them in various locations. You even see one of the boxes in one of Karn's eldest daughter's fights against some sort of fiery demon, the box floating in the lava around it when you catch some interesting information. You find a web, much like the one you'd made when hunting Milluki's hacking exploits. But at the center of it is the word, spelled slightly differently than you'd thought.
“Darkseid....Computer, copy everything about this user, and all their information regarding these boxes and Darkseid.” you command, watching the screens flashing by until you realize that you hear some sort of beeping noise.
“Hey boss, you'd better look at this.” Blue Hawaii calls out, you swiping all of the screens away to look at the box there on the central pillar. Only to see that it's red core is now glowing with pure white energy. The beeping noise gets faster, you realizing that you're still too close.
“Shit, it is a bomb!” you exclaim, leaping further back and away as the beeping gets even faster, rising to a fever pitch as your Stand returns to your side. “Barrier!”
And as you create the solid quarter-dome energy shield between you and the Mother Box, as 'NewGodHunter' refers to these things as, the box explodes in a blinding flash of light. You wince in pain from the brightness, but to your surprise it isn't an explosion. Instead, as the blinding light fades, you see the box has turned into some sort of portal. Realizing that these things haven't been saboteurs, as you'd initially thought as another winged creature identical to the others starts flying through, but the scouts of a new enemy army.
“Oh hell, here we go.” Blue Hawaii says as you both rush forward to do battle. “You owe me another barrel after this shit is over!”
