>>5562924Focused on the creature's ki you fly over to the rooftop, opening the roof access door and slipping inside. Looking around the room, you find a shadowy corner and hide, suppressing your powerlevel as the strange creature's energy approaches. Perhaps you can get a bit more information by listening in on it? Fortunately you don't have to wait long, as the creature smashes down the door leading from the stairwell, looking around a moment. It then zeroes in on the central support pillar, walking over as its chest opens up, taking the box from inside itself out without a word and presses it to the wall. It then activates the box by pressing the center button, four spikes springing out from the sides to latch onto the wall, and you've seen enough.
“I'm going to need you to step away from that bomb.” you say, but as the creature turns towards you suddenly you get a flash of the future. The vision lasts only an instant, but you see the creature self-destructing in a fiery blast. As the vision ends you immediately leap back, gathering your ki into a fingertip as you ready an attack.
“For Darkseid!” it snarls, you firing your Death Beam straight through its mouth. But that doesn't STOP the creature, it then detonating in a fiery explosion.
“SHIT!” you snarl, summoning your Stand between you and the blast. Blue Hawaii's canine form absorbs the attack for your, the explosion unable to damage your Stand but throws both you and it back into the wall behind you. “Gah!”
“Dammit Arctus, stop using me as your bloody shield.” Blue Hawaii bitches as the explosion burns itself out, turning around towards you and wagging a finger in your face. “And where's my booze? You promised we'd have a whole barrel once your work here was done.”
“And we will. But we have a problem.” you say, sweeping your arm and blowing the smoke kicked up by the explosion away. And, to your surprise, the box is still there! “That.”
“The box?” Blue Hawaii asks, hovering over towards it while you walk over. “Hrmm. Yup, it's a box.”
But you barely hear your Stand, focused instead on the creature's death cry. You can't think of anything that it fits, so speak to your wrist-mounted computer.
“Search for the term, 'Darkside'. Ignore definitions, show results.” you say, your computer immediately going to work. Screen after holoscreen leaps up into the air around you, your eyes scanning the information as it appears. You close pointless window after pointless window of random usernames across the different sites and profiles, as none of them are of any relevance.
