It's a pretty badass way to go about it though.
I'm also glad we're not the only one with a disdain for those blasted bolters, and that Talos is at long last inventing new things! Our very first artefact weapon.
I'm wondering if we could use this as a testbed for creating a replacement to the bolter based on laser weapons if they are less temperamental than melta's and easier to produce in bulk than volkites. Which they should be because the Imperium is built to shit out lasguns. If we could increase its range, the Hot-Shot Lasgun is straight up better than a bolter.
Call it Las Caliver, for it sits between baseline human Lasgun and Lascannon and trades off the cannons range and punch for rate of fire.
