However, since Tanya isn't a proper deity in-an-of herself, but is rather trespassing into the domain of the gods, t-”
“He's flagrantly disregarding the rules on a technicality!” Elder Kai shouts, again letting his emotions get the better of him as the battle continues. But then Chaya roars, silencing everyone as you can all feel it.
“HRRRRYAAAAAA!!!” Chaya roars, SOMEHOW once more ascending to her divine state despite the impossible anti-god sphere Tanya erected around the battlefield.
“What?! No, that's impossible!” Tanya and the other voice shout, the woman immediately leveling her weapon at the Saiyan and firing again. But this time Chaya's ready, detonating the projectile with a small exertion of will before surging forward through the smoke, punching through the girl's weapon and slamming her fist into the smaller girl's jaw. Sending her flying, the Saiyan teleporting up behind her only to slam her down into the ground with groundbreaking force.
“How could she be doing this?” you ask, genuinely curious. “I thought this barrier was supposed to stop that form?”
“And it is. At least, most of its power.” Elder Kai says, seeming the least surprised of you all. Which is a major shift in how he was acting before. “This young Saiyan, mortal though she may be, has amassed quite the following in the mortal realm. And while the barrier does stop their faith from reaching her inside it, she can still draw upon HER faith in them, her desire to do right by those who worship and believe in her to tap into this power. But it comes at a cost.”
“A cost? Like what?” Shin asks, not understanding. But you know, eyes widening in understanding. The power of faith on a wide scale is a conglomerate power, but faith itself comes directly from the soul. From one's own being. Without being able to draw upon those uncounted quintillions of souls, there's only one soul there she can draw from.
“Her soul.” you mutter, Elder Kai nodding in approval before explaining what you'd discovered about divine power to Shin. Who, as a Kai, probably never understood the true nature of divine power as he was born with it. Using it would be second nature like breathing, something one doesn't consciously think of but simply does.
“FINAAAAAAAAL!” the godly Super Saiyan roars, then suddenly just vanishes. She's gone! Or, rather, not gone. Just moved faster than even your eyes can perceive, which must mean she used that Instant Transmission technique. To reappear right behind Tanya, catching her off guard. “FLAAAAAAAAASH!!”
