You eyed the steering wheel hungrily, suddenly forgetting about the fact that you were being chased by Doom and his robot army.
“I really shouldn’t do this…”
You said, even as you were slipping through the window and into the driver’s seat. You didn’t bother with the seatbelt. The adhesion of your hands and feet should protect you from flying through the windshield. But just to be safe…
You strapped a webline over your chest and attached it to the driver’s seat.
“This is probably a terrible idea.”
You gripped the steering wheel tightly with one hand and caressed the shift lever with the other. The car seemed to hum, not with the power of a combustion engine, but with the sheer power of the pixels that allowed it to move in the first place. The interior had a soft, consistent glow to it, similar to the pulsating lights on the outside. There was something inexplicably soothing and hypnotic about it, and the seat was surprisingly comfortable, despite the hard-light material that it was made of. If it weren’t for the fact that you were getting shot at right now, you might’ve been afraid to fall asleep at the wheel.
“Oh, what the hell. When have I ever let a terrible idea stop me before?”
You shifted gears, jerked the steering wheel to the left, and narrowly avoided another attack from Doom. Your spider-sense served you better in warning you of attacks than the rear-view mirror did.
“This car handles like a dream…! I think Ember might’ve missed her calling.”
Effortlessly, you used your superior reflexes to maneuver the vehicle around and between the numerous obstacles that littered the road in the form of debris, running civilians, abandoned cars, and the resulting wreckage of having a supervillain attack the city. But this being New York, the streets weren’t as conveniently empty as you would’ve hoped, and you were forced to take numerous detours in order to get to where you needed to go.
Where will your detour take you?
>Through the subway tunnels. You shouldn’t encounter any Morlocks down there, and the number of Doombots that can chase after you will be limited.>Message Hill and see if you can’t borrow Lost Boy and Tinkerbell for a little bit. Having a flying car would turn this joy ride into a thrilling dogfight!>Central Park. All those plant monsters and those two Avengers should be able to help peel these Doombots off of you.>Steer clear of any areas that might be populated. You’ll be risking your tail without having much cover, but at the very least you won’t be risking anyone else’s safety.>Write-in.Pastebins:
