>>5360723Wh-Wh-What? There's surely no way that could be true... right?
>>5360622>>5360625>>5360629Indeed it does seem you may have overdone things a little, because now you're scrambling to get anything done about as much as everyone else on the ship is. People scrambling every which way as the pieces of ship quickly sink further and further beneath the waves, and all the while a sea monster unsteadily lumbering about amid the chaos.
<span class="mu-b">"-whup, sorry."</span> you mutter as you inadvertently slam into or trample over errant humans, <span class="mu-b">"Captain captain, where's the captain..."</span>
Unfortunately for as much as you damaged the ship, trying to piece through it (especially at your size) is quite difficult. And that's on top of the fact that you aren't familiar with the layout of these more "modern" vessels.
<span class="mu-b">"Probably should have brought Emil, he could have- oh, what's this?"</span>
<span class="mu-s">"-AIIIEEEE!"</span>
Around about when you're going to give up and the aft portion of the ship is about to entirely submerge, you accidentally rip the side off to find a portion of the ship that had been cut off by the rising water. A dead or very nearly so man, dressed better than any other you've seen, so the captain? Not much point with him unless you care for a snack, but cowering by his body in despair are a pair of women. The only ones on the ship in fact, which is why it catches your attention in the first place.
Naturally they scream bloody murder the moment they see you, and one of them faints even. Considering you were about to give up your search anyway though, you figure not to leave empty handed at the very least. So you grab the three of them, the dead captain and the women, and simply let the wreck sink the rest of the way around you while you continue to float. Ironically the continued screaming of the women can be heard over other screams of survivors and/or the drowning, which creates a humorously odd situation as a few men try to approach you. Seems in their desperation and faced with death, they plead with and even consider trying to grab onto you, to avoid drowning.
It's only a few of them anyway, those already close by but you find it amusing nonetheless, the panicked thinking and actions of drowning humans. For everyone else of the wreck, the fore portion of the ship will also sink soon enough as anyone not dead already desperately scramble for any chance or hope of flotation. As the seconds go by there's less and less men alive, either from injuries dealt by your attack or simple drowning. They were doomed the moment you set eyes on the ship, so now all they have left is to choose how they die or let the ocean choose for them.
You? Well it's not what you'd hoped exactly, but you achieved your victory and gotten some plunder so you aren't much bothered about what happens now.
