"Alright, Alexis, go ahead an-"
[SEEKER OF THE CITY] This is not the first time you've broken into a place, remember? Or did your mind fracture enough to forget that?
"...lemme do it." You correct yourself. Alexis tosses you a few hairpins she was holding before you changed your tune. It doesn't take long for you to twist and turn it into a makeshift lockpick.
"Lame." Lex leans against the wall next to the door you're going to lockpick. "Do we really have to do this? We're wasting time."
"Do you WANT the cops to come running over here? W-we don't have a warrant for this, you know!" Alexis whisper-shouts. Lex simply rolls his eyes at the comment.
You rub the side of your head. God, you're going to get a migraine. Oh well, time to force this thing open. You start fiddling around with the lock, trying to get the pins to click into place.
>TALENT CHECK: 20!Before you even realize what you're doing, your fingers move all on their own. A small CLICK! informs you that you managed to unlock the door. Alexis just looks befuddled at how quickly you did it. "I-how? What?"
"...Not my first rodeo." You shrug. With a simple push, the door creaks open. You gesture at Lex to enter first. He does so as you and Alexis follow behind him.
https://youtu.be/xo65v1kTRZA - APARTMENT THEME
The first thing the three of you notice in here is that it's an absolute mess in here. Somehow, your apartment looks better than this. The room you just entered (the living room, you think) has notes covering it from floor to ceiling with barely any furniture besides a lazyboy and a coffee table.
The door to his bedroom has been kicked in, though you can't see much else from where you're standing. You can see the kitchen in here, given it seems to be part of the living room...
And it's also a mess. Half eaten food and drink is left all over the counters. The fridge is plastered in notes that seem pretty illegible to you. Empty pill bottles litter around the kitchen sink. And, as if you approach to try getting a better look of things, the pungent smell of potent chemical cleaner causes you to stumble back.
Now that you think about it, the whole place smells like it's laced in chemicals. Almost reminds you of the science class you had back as a kid, when you were working in a lab.
The main thing that seems to catch your attention, though? At the back of the apartment, near the kitchen, is a broken in window.
"Hoo boy." Alexis rubs the bridge of her nose. "I'm starting to think this isn't a 'runner'."
"This place is a fucking pigstay." "It's pigsty, Lex." "Shut up, I was right the first time." "No, you weren't."
[PERSON OF INTEREST] He was cornered, surrounded. He could not run if he wanted to. You could be next.
You're in his den now. You can probably get a good idea of either why he disappeared or where he is, if you know where to look.
