In the end it will be the Nobles who shall pay the price of taxation. Whatever benefits they are to receive from the Federation shall be obfuscated as they are really paying for these effects. Damning as it were for the immense popularity that TalOS had been enjoying up till now.
But that was not the place of a ruler. If one simply works for the popularity of others he will not get anything really done. Policy, as with all decisions, would be weighted with an examination on the balances of benefits and detriments. It's just the introduction of popularity is something that would tip the scales in some other direction.
With those decisions the work continued as scheduled. TalOS continued to study and begin perfecting the order of things. He was approaching ten years of power and TalOS counted a quarter of the allotted worlds transformed into what he knew were powerful agri-worlds.
The irony this caused was not lost on TalOS, as while the lands were ruled by a member of the Mechanicum his most powerful export was becoming the grain produced in these places. But that trade was not heavily regulated or taxed, so TalOS could not really see the proceeds from it just yet.
He would not either. He saw that once these goods hit the market and the common citizen saw their costs of living drop they would consider the chances of having children. If enough benefits and certain tactics were used TalOS could cause populations to explode.
A subtle change here, the need for child labor here. Families were focused on needs and if he could engineer the same needs agri-worlds had then he could cause an explosion the magnitudes of which will not be replicated. And in doing so, TalOS forsaw that the planets taken back from the damned Mitu Collective would be removed.
As he saw this happen TalOS watched as two projects began to gain ground. His study of the information Malcador gave him was quickly being used to track down this lone martian colony and he was close to it. A route however needed to be secured and paved before TalOS could consider traveling to such a wayward location in the galaxy.
It was nearing the end of the 2nd decade, turning towards the 30’s. It was at the end of such a time that TalOS received a summons from Malcador the Sigillite, with the note on it expressing its relevance to their project.
