This jolt of pain causes the Spook to reflexively open her mouth just long enough to be forcefed. Casey slams her hand over the Spook's mouth to make sure it all GOES down.
"'tis for your own benefit." Casey pulls the rapier out of the Spook. The puncture wound heals the moment the tip's out. <span class="mu-b">Hard through your googles but the blood on Casey's rapier is SUPER dark now. Black, maybe.</span>
[SEEKER OF THE CITY] A Harvester? Interesting. You suppose there's no reason the spooks wouldn't hurt one but hiring a person for your cannibalistic subspecies for your 'secretive' organization is something new.
>-POTATO VODKA, WHISKEY, AND HEMP!
It's barely enough to bring the spook back to her senses. She's still clearly doozy from the haze and spores doing a havoc on her system, though. <span class="mu-s">"Why am I not dead?"</span>
"Thou shall talk to a former knight of your order." Casey keeps her voice low and solemn while she messes with the relic radio. "She shall determine what we do to you."
<span class="mu-s">"What the hell are you talking about?"</span>
Casey doesn't bother responding. She finishes tuning the radio but right before she can turn it on...
<span class="mu-s">BANG! BANG!</span>
Two gunshots ring out from behind you. You, Casey and the Spook all nearly jump out of their skin.
"Sorry, gals! Saw two creepy freaks coated in spores shamblin' on down to us. Freaky fellas. Killed 'em good."
>-2 REVOLVER ROUNDS from CLOVER!
Turns out warning Kiara to keep an eye out was a good idea after all.
Casey gives Clover the good ol' thumbs up before turning the radio on. It takes a long while for it to crackle to life but once it does, you immediately hear a familiar voice coming from it. "No one has used this signal in a while. I shall place my bets on it being you, Nicole."
<span class="mu-s">"That voice. Who is that?"</span> The Spook is trying HARD to squirm out of her restraints now but you still got a good hold on her. For now.
"I suppose you can call me a former associate of your group. It doesn't matter anymore. My prime was long gone before you were even hired."
<span class="mu-s">"This is their plan? To have some grandma that's not even part of us to talk down to me? Death would be preferra-ghh..."</span> The Spook's squirming is a lot more forceful now. The strands you're holding her with are beginning to bend and warp, you have to put extra effort into keeping her in place. <span class="mu-s">"S-stomach hurts..."</span>
"OEDI implant." She picked that on the SPOT. You only learnt about that implant, like, five minutes ago.
"Used to suppress psychosomatic dependencies and necessary bodily functions like eating, drinking, and breathing. You've been working for a while, huh?"
<span class="mu-s">"I have been b-busy."</span>
"They wouldn't give you that unless you were an actual corpse on the ground. Kickstarts the organs in a person's body. I suppose you owe them a favor for that, huh?"
The Spook scowls, you think. <span class="mu-s">"Of course I do. And talking to you is a waste of everyone's time. What's the plan here? To have some voice in a box interrogate me?"</span>
