That, and the much faster and farther reaching news, that this particular clan has such a wealth of fishing catches that they don't know what to do with all the food. Hence these frequent festivals now, that the Gaelans keep throwing, to celebrate your presence and the bounty you bring. For about the last week now it's also been a distraction, from a dark storm that has been brewing off the coast and made the seas too rough for the people here to ply or traverse. In fact, it is because of this that some envoys from other coastal clans have arrived in recent days, considering to approach you it seems... of course this leads to difficulties and hostility from your own clan who see these as enemies, and indeed they've suffered from them before. Them and their merrow hybrids now brought to bear.
In any case, you've all been working hard though so it's good to allow your people to enjoy their lives with these festivals, and continue to foster the faith in you. Their patron sea goddess, or so you would imagine it to be.
