>>5677958And wealth is right. You're no stranger to wealth, having managed the funds and daily expenses of one of the greatest guilds in all of YGGDRASIL, back in Ainz Ooal Gown's heyday. But this vault is on a whole other level. The ENTIRETY of your own vault could fit in this space, seemingly several times over. Many items also radiate with magical power, such as the twin swords of crystal and flesh, its singular eye watching the two of you. For an instant you feel the weapon's compulsion, it trying to convince you to free and wield the blade. But such low level compulsion won't work on you. However, the rest of the treasures, each gleaming and in pristine condition each draws your eye, one at a time. Some items you faintly recognize, some weapons looking somewhat similar to many of YGGDRASIL's various weapons.
But after several seconds of looking at the mass of treasure before you you shake it off, realizing that now that you both are inside Kars hasn't tried to attack you. Instead, as he takes several steps into the room you see him pulling out what looks to be a compass from inside his robed attire. That immediately swivels around and points directly to himself.
“Haaaah, of course.” he says, closing his eyes. And to your surprise he changes, losing the pointy ears but also bulking up a little bit, then the needle turns and points towards the back of the room. “Much better.”
“What did you do?” you ask, confused. To which Kars smirks, walking forward while looking back over his shoulder.
“I merely suppressed my divine aura. This item is a Divine Seeker, used by the gods to locate wayward artifacts made by or infused with the power of the gods.” Kars explains, watching as the needle points deeper inside. “And it would seem what I seek is here.”
“I already told you, I will not-!” you start, Kars turning to you with a smirk that makes your blood run cold.
“You will not what? Let me go?” he asks, still smirking. “Do you really think that you can stop me now? Especially without DAMAGING the vault's treasures?”
Which stops you short. Most of your non-necromantic magic won't do anything to him, since your Reality Slash didn't harm him. Meaning you only have one choice to stop him now. You take a deep breath despite your lack of lungs, readying yourself.
“Dimensional Lock!” you shout, casting the area of effect spell. You're all in now, the next few seconds will decide how this all ends. “Skill: The Goal of All Life is Death!”
“What are you-?” he starts, but you're not done yet as you raise your right arm towards his chest, activating your favorite spell.
