>>5141709>>5141710>>5141708You lay down on the rock monster's palms and think back on the happy memories of your childhood, the carefree nature of the early days of life, where there was nothing to do aside from basic responsibilities, with none of the expectations of adult life. Before you felt like you were a burden to those close to you, or when a newfound friend would put you in shackles for something you had no fault in.
Soon Merlina's voice fades into silence as you lose your perception of self. You feel as if you were still awake, only with your eyes closed. Squinting your eyes, you try to feel something during your stasis, while in this out of body experience, none of your five senses react to your command. You can't hear, see or feel anything. All you had for your company was your thoughts, and the empty void of darkness, a sleep paralysis that gave you a temporary escape from the situation you were in, but knowing what your body was having to deal with you in the outside, that escape gave you little to no comfort.
Minutes felt like hours as you tried to find some stimulus to keep you from growing any panic, but just as the silence of your own head was starting to get infuriating, you were jolted awake by a gasp of discomfort. There was something about doing nothing for long that made you hate the inactivity of your body. You had wasted enough time in your life, you could not afford to sleep soundly in such dire circumstances.
"Up early, aren't we?" Merlina was sitting across from your side, examining your ribs with her gloves and probing the large scar in your midriff to see if you were still having any discomfort with her touches. Surprisingly, you felt no pain as she pressed her bones against your skin, showing that you were already healed.
"Congratulations. It usually takes anywhere from 6 months to half a year for them to wake up from their stasis. Luckily it only took you 4 months."
Wait, 4 months have already passed? That can't be it, you only felt like you've gotten a day's worth of sleep at most!
"Time dilation is the best way to fool your body that you are only indeed sleeping. It was originally a curse spell to forever seal a soul inside their host, but used with enough control, it proves to be better than any anesthetic."
>Did anything happen while I was out?>Any side effects?>Thank you for taking care of me, Merlina.>Will you start teaching me now that I'm healed?>Like what you see?
