"As for children," Eisho begins again. "It shouldn't need to be said, but be present in their lives while also making sure the mother spends quality time with her own. She'll get depressed if she can't see her baby often. That said, having one of your wives on babysitting duty is extremely helpful... I can see now why you chose Ayane, she's had experience taking care of my kits. She knows enough to be a decent midwife, if only you could get it out of her mind she isn't going to ruin everything because of Bad Luck." You knew it was only last year that Ayane had properly moved in with them, but she'd also visited them often before that to help babysit. You hadn't actually thought about Ayane's potential, but now that he mentioned it she was very good at helping Ryko recover from the trauma. The midwife part was also a nice surprise. "Anyway, you should always watch for any fights between your kids. Some sibling rivalry is fine, but things can easily turn to hell if the mothers get involved. My children all being friends to each other is my policy, but I know that's not always possible."
"For a child's education," He continued. "Either have your nanny or your smartest wife teach them. Though having them get taught by you and your wives as a team effort isn't unheard of. You could also send them to tutors you can trust, I suppose."
"Aren't there any schools?" You asked. There had to be some sort of education system around this time, right?
"For adults, yes. But not for children." He gives you a strange look before realizing something. "Ah, I've heard in some parts of Eastia and some duchies in Westphalia they're experimenting with something called 'compulsory education'. I couldn't tell you much about it, but that's what you're talking about, right?"
"Yeah." You'll go with that. "Also, what would you say is a good number for a harem?" You ask, more out of curiosity for his personal opinion.
"I wouldn't know. I'm not some posh noble with legions of nameless women. Three is more than enough for me, thank you." He grabs onto his hat as a gust of wind blows by. "But from what I've seen, having over ten wives is when things begin to get... impersonal."
You both end up talking about smaller things when relating to harems for a few more minutes.
>Ask any other questions? (Write-in)
>No, you think you have the basics down.
When you both go back you find Ayane looking at you warmly. Hisashi had been contacted, but couldn't come back today due to urgent business matters. He'd given his approval by line and trusted Eisho with the process. He asked to meet with you and Ayane tomorrow morning at this place.
>Accept. No reason to slight him.
>Decline. You were probably gonna be busy.
"John- Master..." She blushed at the words as she approached. "I am ready to act upon my marital duties whenever you're willing." She whispered to you.
