Whatever other complaints she has are lost on your ears as you tune the rest of Jezebel’s panicking right out, charging towards the source of the commotion.
Though, you don’t even need to follow the noise to figure out where the epicenter of the battle is; the trail of dented and crushed cars is more than enough of a crumb trail for you.
Valjean’s given up singing completely, opting to shout nothing but insults at the giant-fisted mutant in hopes that something he says will get through to him.
<span class="mu-i"><span class="mu-s">“GHENGIS CRUSH!”</span></span> The booming roar fills the street, followed by another series of crashes.
Ghengis’ fists are disproportionately large to his body, forcing him to walk around like an ape, yet, somehow, he manages to give Valjean a run for his money in terms of speed, the former Crux leader dodging a pounding strike by a hair’s breadth.
The simple act of bouncing off of Ghengis’ back like a springboard is more than enough to make the hamfisted mutant stop in his tracks.
“Hey!” You shout for good measure, a broad face with a thick beard and beady eyes whipping itself towards you. “Over here!”
At that, Ghengis proceeds to charge towards you with all the fury of a raging bull, and, while you could outpace him easily, you stay close enough to Ghengis so that he’ll keep his focus on you for the time being.
<span class="mu-s">“Glad you could finally make it…”</span> Valjean’s gratefulness is palpable from the other end of the line.
“A thanks would be nice,” You retort.
