There were some things that TalOS was able to do, and things that he is not able to do. The concept of a Primarch not being able to do things would be foreign to his brothers. For the Tech Priest Primarch though TalOS had run into many things that could not be done by his own two hands. It was so long ago that TalOS learned this lesson that it was ingrained into his very person, thus he did not really have a retrospection on it or feel shame when it came up.
+Oil applied to gear to the Machine Spirit’s sanctification.+ Called out UZ1 as she lifted a chain, +Release the tension.+
With a powerful effort TalOS brought the hydraulics down. His muscles began to quake with power to turn a simple engine mechanism to the side. By TalOS turning it a bearing that was meant to apply tension to the entire strand was released. However if the bearing was still in position it would also prevent any new chains from being placed into the mechanism thus preventing the entire Machine Spirit from functioning.
Thus was the reason TalOS was here and UZ1 was putting the chain around all the gears and other bearings. She did so as fast as she could, as was the subscribed suggestion when it came to committing this ritual. Many a Priest delayed and resulted in getting themselves killed by accident thanks to Machine Spirit failures of what was holding the tension.
It could be described as hard to TalOS. He knew that his base body would likely struggle against this as his duty was meant for greater and more wondrous machines. As he moved two of his extra hands upon the lever and the activation of his mag-lock feet he knew that he will hold.
+Final check, look over it!+ UZ1 called out thus summoning TalOS’s attention to the line.
His eyes carried themselves from one gear to another, his Cogitators giving him a reference map of what was to go to where on the STC diagram.
+I concur with your work, I am ready to release.+ TalOS answered UZ1 with a certainty of confirmation.
+Release.+ She ordered, and TalOS did exactly that.
The two of them watched as the gears and chain all tightened around one another. A slight shifting going across all the parts as realignment occurred. There was satisfaction in seeing that, as well as knowing that this was one of the remaining tasks that needed to be done.
+Let us acquire some water and we can continue.+ TalOS said as he sent a message to a nearby servitor.
+I would like that, thanks.+ His fellow Priest answered back with a dose of satisfaction within her voice.
