As he was bloodied by the Fallen Paladin he heard the Horns of the Planet Killer. Varcarnerix aimed its weapon directly upon one of his fellows and released a payload upon it. The Volcano Cannon easily turned the Knight, Faith’s Courage, into a pile of plasmetal with a single scream of its cannon.
Such was the power of the Avatars. Not even the shielding of the Knight would protect him from the attack and the Titan was not bothered by all the fire that was being slammed into it by the Knights that remained on the Mountain. It simply needed to destroy his lance of Warriors and then it will be able to march forward onto the mountain with its purpose fulfilled.
He needed to take down that Titan.
With a scream the Knight rushed his way towards the Titan with the fury of the Machine God at his beckoning. Once again the murder of the horde was at his feat as he thundered across their lines to reach the opponent who was so far away from him. He was not the only one to rush the Titan as his fellow Knights realized the same thing that he had.
Varcarnerix needed to die if they were to last another day upon the Mountain of Olympus.
Each step he took was another chance for death to reach him as the Titan realized the threats his lance possed. It waited a moment to make its decision, but when it did it indeed brought upon the target whatever wrath it could deliver upon it. Leandros watched as the side cannons of the Titan aimed and fired a plethora of munitions upon Esfuerzo Caballeresco with dozens of shots that ended with the Titan falling down upon the battlefield. Leandros knew that these attacks did not kill it, but when the horde swelled over the Knight and ripped over the cockpit he knew that death was now upon the nobleman who was within it.
Just like that each of his Knights died as they tried to reach the Titan. Death was now at all sides as the few Suzerins that were within the Titan came to try and stop the Knights from reaching their target.
Leandros wondered, as the Titan slowly brought its Volcano Cannon towards him, if his fellows would succeed defeating the Reaver in his stead.
Then he felt it. A drop falling upon his body. A drop from the sky above where one could see the stars themselves. But he recognized that feeling anywhere, and the pressure and sensors told him that the pressure of the air around him was rising.
The feeling he had upon his body was… nostalgic. It reminded him of his life upon Dutonis when he was so much younger. When it was about to rain.
It was then that he saw everything slow down and darken far more than it should have. He then felt the rain falling upon his Chassis. As it fell, the blood upon his Knight was washed away.
