Or rather, getting ahead of yourself. You can try to make a relic stone... but then youd have to store it. And unless you supercharge that stone it won't work right now. Because Gremlin isn't that close to opening their heart. The relic stone is only good for that last push, and without a more involved purity chamber or the aid of a incredibly powerful pokemon (Which you aren't sure Suzie can reach, you haven't seen her fight) Gremlin cant use the stone. Those memories don't mean anything without experiencing friendship.
The relic stone gives you a door but you need to give Gremlin something to fight for, a reason to actually try to go to the other side of the door. And until Gremlin is ready for that, a relic stone is just contraband.
