>>5211191>Rolled 20 (1d20)You snatch the doll up in your arms and shove her into a roll away under the cross. It howls overhead as you both hit the ground, whereupon it lodges itself into a stone facade ahead. You save her from the brunt of the impact and drag to a slow halt with her in your arms.
“..Von Gundyr?!” Noelle asks, her face flush.
“Be more careful.” You huff as you pull yourself away, your face a dash hot itself–you’re not all too familiar with this sort of thing either. But you’ve still got the wolfman to deal with.
You shoulder your rifle and look the fight over again. Much to your chagrin, the wolfman seems to have shifted tactics after that chest wound. He now attacks both the berserker and dhampir with reckless abandon, swinging his sword overhead and under with shocking speed, allowing their cuts to crisscross him on occasion to meet them with a swing of twofold strength.
His shift to aggression seems to confuse the two, who have a difficult time with the windows to parry or swing while stuck between their opponent’s wall of slashes and the one at their side.
The berserker hefts your greatsword up to catch one such wild swing. The wolfman meets it with confidence and wrenches his sword forward at an odd angle–his blade’s barbs catch the edge of her weapon, and with a solid twist, your heirloom greatsword flies out across the stone street, sliding to a halt near your feet.
Morne takes advantage of the shock of her disarmament to smash the flat edge of his blade over the berserker’s head. She crumples underneath. In turn, the wolfman turns the brunt of his attention to Lady Ava–the flash of blows is difficult to keep up with, but it looks like the dhampir is struggling to stand her ground against the onslaught, taking several steps back beneath his now careful and controlled swings.
>Crack another shot off now. Admittedly, their speed is such that you’re worried you might hit Ava.>Wait just a little more for the fight to slow. You’re sure you can guarantee a solid hit with some time.>Pick the greatsword up and attempt to join the fight via melee.>Ask the doll to go for a vital point hit while he’s tossling with Ava.>Write-In.
