Chapter 0
The crew was promised a party in honor of the Boss. It was a setup. You survived, but it was all a plan by Spider, the numbers guy and right hand man, to keep you busy while he took power for himself. The Boss is dead, and Spider killed her. He has to pay.
With the Boss gone, and her main advisor turned traitor, leadership fell to Angela, the Boss's most trusted meathead. Angela, more comfortable in the role of attack dog, lets Claire, the heist planner and coordinator, do the talking and call the shots. The two of them are resolved to keep the crew alive, and survive everything that go thrown at them, and that meant going on the offensive.
Chapter 1
The Jacks, a crew of shakedown hoods, were living large at the fresh nightclub Nebula. The bouncer called you freaks. Wasn't a smart move. You killed a lot of people, grabbed a couple of Spider's money guys, and got some leads. A good start.
Chapter 2
The Dirty Dogs, a biker gang into meth and gun running, had a clubhouse out on the edge of Gatortown. No clues were found, but you fucked their shit up, stole a lot of drugs and guns, and made off before getting pinched, so that's still a win.
Chapter 3
The Niners were low-life street hustlers who found some serious hardware and carved out a piece of chaos for themselves. They held down a neighborhood of stash houses like an armed enclave in the city. It wasn't enough to keep out the crew, who discovered a secret basement with files on chemical formulas and an unknown facility.
Chapter 4
The facility was a drug lab, a huge manufacturing plant for the new fashionable narcotic, Haze. The Niners' leadership was here to defend their territory, but that just meant more loot for the crew as they earned a bounty for the leaders' heads. Bags of haze were looted, along with documents for the actual chemical formula. A group of out-of-place ex-Triads provided the next lead.
Chapter 5
By now, Spider's group was calling itself "The Syndicate", and it was becoming clear he had spun his web to include half the gangs in the city, including the Great Four, a former Triad associate running out of the Gold Tiger restaurant. When they broke in, the crew found not only an actual literal tiger, but Spider hiding in a back room. He was protected by the Dragon, one of the Great Four leaders, and they both escaped in a car driven by Angela's old friend, Ray. The crew sped off in hot pursuit.
Chapter 5.5
A high speed car chase, the crew less than a block behind their target. A high-octane battle while riding down the Washington Bridge, pursuing Ray's car and fending off vehicle attacks from vengeful survivors of previous targets, spread car wrecks and bodies across the city. Half the crew ended up in the hospital or dead.
In the end, Spider escaped when Ray drove off the docks onto the deck of a ship. The Dragon was left behind, somehow alive.
