Now, you're walking over this rubble, and due to the slight tilt of the floor the remnants of this 'landslide' are on, there is a major chance that it will just all slide off of the side of this floor and into the depths.
If it's still a little vague, I can try and maybe draw something up to demonstrate the situation better.
