The Stranded Sons biker cultist appears to have spent a lot of time playing with some recently launched AI phone app from Imago, that can generate moderately convincing dreamlike sequences of video from text prompts - or even entire videos from a single uploaded image.
You wonder if any representative glimpse of reality can be conveyed through words alone, versus lived, embodied experience.
Even images can deceive; many images are staged. You recall how the popular image of butterflies - the aesthetic of their wings, spread wide in a square quadrant pose where the trailing edge of the wing is perpendicular to body axis, is an unnatural pose only witnessed when the butterfly is dead, pinned as a display specimen upon a wall after retrieval from the killing jar of the lepidopterist.
>>6037887Living butterflies more commonly hold their wings in variable, swept-back positions, with the forward edge perpendicular to the body axis. It would be akin to if one's notion of anatomy led to the belief that all humans stood around with their arms permanently splayed and frozen in a videogame loading mesh T-pose display.
Can the dream images and visions that emerge from the consciousness of this machine chrysalis truly convey any sense of lived experience - or would they descend inevitably into that grotesque distorted pattern, the nightmarish and parasitic imitation feeding upon the living; hallucinated imaginings retrieved from a long dead reality instead...?
